I have always had an obsession with teeth, mine in particular. All my friends had braces but me, no. Mine were too good for nonsense like that! However now my friends teeth are better than mine.....hmmm.
Anyway after many years of careful examination I have, alas, deemed my teeth imperfect, despite my endless brushing, plentiful mouthwash-ing and occasional flossing, along with mints, gum and other add-ons.
I think my real issue is the tea and coffee consumption.
Recently, I decided I wouldn't say no to whiter teeth, so decided to try out a cheap self whitening system, before giving up and going to the dentist.
I chose White Glow Express Whitening System.I didn't exactly have high hopes, costing all up $13, on special of course.
It comes with: two moulding mouth things (like mouth guards), slightly larger than a sample size of White Glow Professional White (or something like that) toothpaste, the gel to go in the moulds (bleach), and an info. book.
The process is the same as making a mouth guard for sport (I think). And this is all I used and all I think you need.
First ONE of the mouth plates goes in the just off boiling water, don't do both or the second one will get TOO HOT! and a bit too soft in my opinion. As I am very smart and resourceful I used a fork to hold down what would otherwise have been a floating mouth mould.
Take the mouth thing out and mould it around your teeth, hold for about 30 seconds then place in icy water. Again, smart/resourceful fork. I thought I was silly to have two forks but I did actually use both. Just remember to "check your temps" as the mouth guard may get too hot and the metal fork is a heat conductor and may be too hot to touch.

Also see that little tooth on the bottom left that sticks out. I hate that tooth. So much. It also seems the yellowest out of them all. Bastard.
This was my first attempt so there isn't really much to see. In person, though, I do think a slight difference can be noted.
UPDATE:
I did this about two weeks ago and continued ever night or so. I say definite results especially in conjunction with the whitening toothpaste. I have stopped at the moment due to an ulcer on my gum, unrelated I'm sure, and plan on continuing after. Overall, pleasantly surprised by this product.
THINGS TO LOOK OUT FOR/HANDY HINTS:
I found that keeping the mouth guard on for 10min (instead of the recommended 5min) did no damage and defiantly had better results.
After using, even for 5mins, I had white edging on some of my teeth, don't panic if this happens to you. It went away after a brush and some time.
During the first go I didn't like the taste of the gel, now I actually like it, just a little, is that wrong?
